Our Story
How many of us have watched our loved ones suffer in their final years due to inadequate care, feeling helpless as senior homes and clinical settings fall short of delivering the compassion and attention our families deserve?
When we watched a dear friend struggle through the final stages of life in a cold, clinical assisted living facility, we knew something had to change. The lack of personal care and meaningful engagement left a lasting impression on us, and we vowed to do something about it, for our friend, for others facing similar situations, and for families searching for a more dignified, compassionate alternative.
Amber House was born out of this calling to provide a new kind of senior living, one that combines personalized, boutique-style care with a sense of joy, dignity, and community.

After a successful 30-year career in the tech industry, including 16 years as an executive at Salesforce, Joanne turned her innovative spirit and leadership expertise to revolutionizing senior care.
Her experience in cultivating strong company cultures and leading “future of work” initiatives now drives the “future of senior care” at AmberCare.
Jamie Pantuso
Design and Development Lead
Jamie brings over 35 years of experience as a LEED-certified, custom General Contractor to AmberCare, with a distinguished portfolio of projects across Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Napa Valley. His expertise in high-end construction and design, honed through a career in luxury residential and commercial projects, ensures that AmberCare properties meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and functionality. Jamie’s commitment to creating beautiful, purpose-driven spaces enhances the comfort and well-being of each resident, setting a new standard for senior living environments.
